Abstract

The Gradenigo syndrome is characterized by symptoms of apical petrositis, such as suppurative otitis media, pain in the area of the facial nerve (the branches of trigeminal nerve) and abducens nerve palsy. Of pediatric patients with otitis media, Gradenigo syndrome is very rare. However, it causes very dangerous condition or even death because of its anatomical location of apical petrositis. Therefore under suspicious symptoms or signs, rapid diagnosis and treatments are required. We report a pediatric case of Gradenigo syndrome with anisocoria treated with antibiotics.
